Remove the first occurrence from a list

Write a function that removes the first occurrence of an element from a list and returns the list. If the element is not in the list, return the list unchanged.

def remove_from_list(values: list, element: object) -> list:
    # Add code here!
    pass

# Only the first of two equal elements is removed
got = remove_from_list([1, 2, 3, 2], 2)
assert got == [1, 3, 2], f"[1, 2, 3, 2] and 2: expected [1, 3, 2], got {got!r}"

# Strings are removed in the same way as numbers
got = remove_from_list(["a", "b", "c"], "b")
assert got == ["a", "c"], f"['a', 'b', 'c'] and 'b': expected ['a', 'c'], got {got!r}"

# An element that is not in the list leaves it unchanged
got = remove_from_list([1, 2, 3], 5)
assert got == [1, 2, 3], f"[1, 2, 3] and 5: expected [1, 2, 3], got {got!r}"

# Your case: which list and element are most likely to break it?
# got = remove_from_list(___, ___)
# assert got == ___, f"expected ___, got {got!r}"
