I coordinate the first module of the BSc Industrial Engineering and Management program. The module serves a first-year cohort of roughly 90 students and combines disciplinary foundations with an integrated company project.

Project and core topics
The project asks student teams to analyze an organization, structure operational data, define performance indicators, build a simulation under uncertainty, and communicate recommendations through a dashboard and an advisory report.
Four core topics provide the disciplinary basis for the project:
- Production Management
- Information Management
- Supply Chain Management and Sourcing
- Financial Management
My coordination covers the project, assessment workflow, teaching team, tutors, teaching assistants, digital course materials, and student support.
Company projects
Grolsch, 2024
The 2024 project placed students in consulting teams working on supply-chain planning at Grolsch. Teams addressed quality management, inventory management, production strategies, or the reverse supply chain. The sequence moved from a project plan and data analysis to simulation, a dashboard, and a management report.
ASML, 2025–2026
The next iteration used an ASML supply-chain case. Student teams analyzed an organizational setting, prepared operational data, developed a simulation, and integrated their results in an interactive dashboard and advisory report.
ChipTech Talent (“Beethoven”), approved 2026
The ChipTech Talent program (“Beethoven”) approved Supplying the Chip Sector: The Role of Industrial Engineering on June 7, 2026. I submitted and lead this education project. It extends the ASML case toward the regional chip-technology supply chain and connects first-year IEM students with companies and alumni in the sector.
The first-year transition
For many students, Module 1 includes their first university examinations. My course design introduces assessment formats progressively, provides structured practice, and increases difficulty as students become familiar with university study and programming.
