Assignments

The coursework follows one real warehouse through five connected report parts, each assessed with a 10-point rubric in one final management report and its supporting code. The group may curate and reorganize its strongest insights to build one coherent management argument; the code must retain the traceable evidence needed for the rubrics. All requirement descriptions and rubrics are visible from the beginning. Completing the formative WH-AS1 draft is required for that final-report part to be graded, and each student must also complete the required peer-review process. Canvas remains authoritative for submissions, grades, and current communication.

Important2026 resource access

The 2026 assignment brief links directly to the working official source mirrors and notebook template. The same resources are collected below for convenience.

  • Company presentation
  • Warehouse map: BCF-zones.xls
  • Reserve locations: DC23CASES.zip
  • Active locations: DC23ACTIVE.zip
  • SKU dimensions and status: PhillyDimStatus2.zip
  • Additional SKU data: ITEMDATAV2.txt.zip
  • Replenishment limits: DC23MINMAX2.zip
  • Sales history: sales.zip
  • Picking batches: TRCART23.zip
  • Carton lines: CDCART23.zip
  • Carton headers: CHCART23.zip

Extract the ZIP archives into data/raw beside the notebook. Preserve the filenames contained in the archives; the template checks the historical filenames expected by the assignment.

The final assessed package combines a management report of no more than 12 pages, plug-and-play code, and an individual oral defence. The course syllabus defines the complete assessment contract. TimeEdit and Canvas provide the current dates and operational instructions.
