Exam Preparation and Assignment Work
Consolidate the course for the examination and turn your analyses into one defensible warehouse recommendation.
FocusExam preparation and report integration
FormatReview and Q&A; no new lecture content
Can the final recommendation still be defended when all warehouse decisions and assumptions are considered together?
This week introduces no new lecture content. Use this week to review the course for the examination and to work on your group report: reconnect the decisions that were deliberately separated during analysis, and check that your recommendation’s evidence, assumptions, and limitations can withstand critical review.
By the end of this module, you can
- explain interactions across strategic, tactical, and operational decisions;
- combine model results into one coherent recommendation;
- distinguish evidence from assumption and design preference;
- critique limitations, sensitivity, and implementation risks; and
- organize course concepts for the final examination.
Examination practice
Use the practice questions to work through multiple-choice items and longer calculations. The longer questions are practice exercises; the current examination uses multiple-choice questions as stated in the syllabus.
Questions can test recall, interpretation, calculation, and application to a supplied warehouse scenario. When preparing, state the assumptions, explain why an answer follows, and consider how changing an assumption affects the result. For example, distinguish a tour that collects several items from separate trips that return after each pallet retrieval. Interpret profiles and KPIs using their stated units and populations, and relate a proposed decision to its effect on capacity, travel, throughput or cost.
Use current Canvas announcements for examination instructions.
